Another state-of-the-art AMMANN ABT Speedy Batch 240 asphalt plant has been commissioned to the leading Greek contractor TERNA S.A.
The new transport optimized asphalt plant has been installed in Mpafra-Ioannina and will be used in the rehabilitation of EGNATIA ODOS (A2), a 658 km motorway spanning from the port of Igoumenitsa in the northwest to Kipi, on Greece’s northeastern border with Turkey.
GEK TERNA Group has recently signed a 35-year concession agreement that includes the financing, operation, maintenance, and management of EGNATIA ODOS, the largest motorway in Greece.
Driven by innovation, the ABT Speedy Batch 240 is perfectly configured to fit within container dimensions and is designed for rapid deployment without the need for concrete foundations.
Equipped with a gas burner, RAH50 hot recycling dryer, and electrically heated bitumen tanks, the plant stands out for its efficiency and sustainability.
