DROMON S.A., a Greek asphalt producer based in Thessaloniki, successfully operates a UNIVERSAL MEB240 asphalt plant for many years. Recently, the company has decided to upgrade and retrofit the plant with the latest version of Amman’s as1 control system.
According to Giorgos Koumiotis, CEO of Dromon: “the old Ammann AS2000plus has functioned excellent and performed efficiently. But we needed to take advantage of the latest technologies offered by Ammann’s as1 Control System aiming to continue the production of high-quality asphalt and anticipate our future requirements”.
Ammann’s tried-and-tested retrofit procedure was followed during the conversion to the as1 Control System. Experts reviewed the existing system and then incorporated current modules into the new as1 configuration.
The upgrade procedure has been completed and the plant is ready for the new season.
